Research forms
an integral part of a teaching
institution as it helps in
both quality teaching-learning
activities and in providing
better health services. Further,
the data / information obtained
through research forms strong
basis for appropriate policy
formulation and decision making.
Keeping in
view of this, since its inception,
NMC has given due importance
to research, as a result of
which it has found its rightful
place in the motto of NMC
which is: Education-Research-Service.
"Research" between
"Education" and
"Service" highlights
its importance further by
having its influences both
on Education and Service.
NMC has identified
Research to be headed by a
Director cum Chairman of the
Research Committee (RC), which
is at the same status as that
of the Principal of the college
and the Medical Director of
the teaching hospital.
NMC has conceptualized
its vision of Education-Research-Service
and believes that Research
is its third eye, which keeps
watch constantly over the
vision of other two eyes,
which see education and service
components, respectively.
Embracing
research as an integral part
of quality teaching and service,
NMC has made the following
organizational structure.
Research
Budget Allocation
NMC
has allocated Rs. One Million
budget for the research activities
every year.
