Nepalese  Doctors along with some Engineers as well as professionals initiated for  establishing Nepal Medical College with its  own Teaching Hospital with a mission to give  opportunity to study MBBS  as well as  provide  good quality  high standard  medial  services within Nepal.

Marching ahead with time, since taking its first step in December 1997,  Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital (NMCTH) is providing  quality health care services from its newly  constructed modern Out Patients Departments and indoor wards with a capacity  700 beds and imparting  medical education to  the medical students. We also feel very happy to share that the construction of new Academic Building has been completed and we are sure that the XIIIth  batch of students will be privileged to begin their study in the new academic block more comfortably.

Based on the requirement of 21st century, Nepal Medical College has the mission to promote community oriented medical education. To implement the same, a community Health Centre at Jhaukhel, Bhaktapur has been established and is aimed at providing Community based learning and at the same time delivering  primary health care services to the people. To expand its services a twenty two bedded  new hospital is also being constructed and planned to complete by the end of October 2008.After completion of new hospital building, probably it would be one of the unique largest Community based health education learning centre in the country.

It would be a great opportunity to Study MBBS in our Medical College in the coming 2009-2010 session. I would like to welcome you all.
