Completing the first MBBS
after two years the students
attend the Teaching Hospital
of Nepal Medical College and
learns to deal with "LIVES".
During the posting in the
hospital the medical students
learn to communicate with
patients. They are taught,
guided and supervised by experienced
faculty members who stress
upon respecting the human
values, systematic approach
to the patients and sensitise
towards solving the patient’s
problems by making diagnosis
of the alignment (disease)
and institute correct and
best management of the problems
in order to achieve a good
recovery early as possible.
The 700 bed Teaching Hospital
of Nepal Medical College has
got required clinical and
paraclinical departments and
units that have enough clinical
cases (patients) where the
medical students can observe,
experience, learn and take
active participation in managing
wide varieties clinical problems
(diseases) that they will
come across in their medical
career in the future.
To support and achieve the
best outcome, NMCTH has got
the international standard
of clinical paraclinical,
nonclinical departments together
with necessary logistic support
and service arrangements,
which makes the Hospital service
comparable with any other
national hospitals.
The staff at different levels
of hospital management is
very much concerned to the
patients' care and interest
in their respective areas.
The hospital management claims
that the patient are well
looked after and taken care
bearing in mind their social,
economical, geographical,
religious status of the infirms.
Every year increasing in patients
flow, diseases cure rate and
decreasing mortality rate
are the indicators of hospital
success and achievement. In
addition the hospital management
is always concerned about
with patient’s satisfaction.
To address the demand development
of subspecialty services the
hospital is initiating to
establish subspecialty services
phasewise with modern equipments.
